A woman’s body will go through a lot of changes during and after pregnancy. The connective tissue joining the abdominal muscles stretch, causing the left and right sides of the abdominal muscles to separate. The pelvic bones open and stretch along with the pelvic floor muscles. Having two children myself and teaching fitness throughout and after both of my pregnancies, my body quickly returned to its natural physical shape and fitness level.
I know a lot of new mums want to regain their pre-baby bodies and that’s why I have designed a six week fitness program for new mums. Two 40 minute fitness classes per week, working on aerobic fitness to help burn the extra baby calories and a second weekly class concentrating on core strength and skeletal alignment to help the body gain its natural equilibrium.
This six week course is suitable for all levels of fitness, whether you’re a new mum that may have never exercised or a mum who is not a stranger to exercise, I will guide you safely through the six week programme and will give you helpful tips and knowledge to keep your body stay strong, health and fit.
NB: I recommend you wait at least 12 -16 weeks after giving birth before starting any new fitness routine. Please always speak to your Doctor first before you start the course.
